- Jennifer Fuchs (JF)
Jennifer has been the Director of Tennis since 1999 and at El Conquistador Tennis since November of 1993. A former world class touring pro, she has distinguished herself as an outstanding player. As a junior, Jennifer became the number one ranked player in the nation. She was also a part of the Junior Federation Cup and competed in both the Junior US and Italian Open, where she and her partner won the doubles. Following her junior career, Jennifer played two years at UCLA, becoming a two time All-American. Having played all the major events and all 4 grand slams as a touring professional, Jennifer reached the round of sixteen in the Australian Open Doubles Championship.
- Chip Tidd (CT)
Chip has been teaching at the El Conquistador since 2005 and has amazing enthusiasm and energy. Chip played collegiate tennis for Carleton College in Minnesota where he was named “Freshman of the Year.” He then transferred to the University of Arizona in 2001 and decided to use his great personality and love and knowledge of tennis to inspire and teach others. Chip thoroughly enjoys working
with players of all ages and levels, and continues to be an important asset to El Conquistador Tennis. Chip is USPTA Certified.
- Carlos Bermudez (CB)
Carlos has played tennis at all levels nationally, internationally, and at the collegiate and professional levels. He was part of the first group of eight top American Juniors to be selected to attend the USTA high performance training center in Florida. Carlos reached as high as No. 1 in the nation as a junior and has won several national titles. Thereafter, Carlos went on to play for the University of Arizona where he was a four-year letter winner; competing at the No. 2 position as a freshman and compiling wins over top ranked opponents like USC, Cal, Oregon and Utah.
- Doug Miller (DM)
Originally from Nebraska, Doug is a USPTA Certified teaching professional. A former teaching pro at the internationally acclaimed Port Washington Tennis Academy, Doug has worked with top junior players from the USTA Eastern Section as well as from around the world. Doug has been teaching tennis in Tucson and Oro Valley for over 18 years and brings unsurpassed energy and invaluable knowledge to the court.

Benjamin Sutton (BS): Benjamin has been working with our Junior program for 8 years after spending a few years in our Academy program and is now a part of our full-time coaching staff. A former Arizona High School All State Honorable Mention & 2nd Team player, Benjamin graduated with Bachelor of Arts degrees from the U of A in Law and Political Science. Benjamin is pursuing a career in the business of Tennis and his on-court enthusiasm, genuine care for the player & the person and attention to technique is ever present and a joy to watch!
Ruth Fuchs & Linda Helixon; Co-Tournament Directors run all of our USTA Sanctioned events. These tournaments include Level 1 National Championships as well as local USTA Southwest tournaments and everything in between. Ruth & Linda have an amazing reputation for running top-notch events and the tournaments bring invaluable prestige and awareness to El Conquistador Tennis, the Community Center and Oro Valley!
